Facebook has long been a bit confusing for non-profits, which was due partially to the lack of a page that provides guidance on how to use the platform in the sector. “Non-Profits on Facebook” has been up for sometime, but just announced a new resource center on Monday. This section includes success stories, quick tips and best practices for using Facebook.
Of course, Facebook wants you to use their platform and the associated applications. Therefore, the site paints a rather rosy picture of how this can all work for non-profits and how successful various applications can be. Remember – not all applications are necessary and it is better to excel at the basics than spread yourself too thin trying to tackle too many advanced projects.
