Teil Silverstein

Affiliated Consultant Marts & Lundy

Residence: New England

Professional Experience

Teil has more than 25 years of professional experience in planning, fundraising, programming, and management of nonprofit institutions. She established an independent consulting practice in 1993.

Her expertise in writing grant proposals, case statements, and other development communications has generated philanthropic investment and strengthened affiliations for a broad range of clients. Teil’s services also include prospect research targeting institutional funders; organizational and project planning; and project management.

Teil has consulted for nationally prominent institutions — including Harvard University, Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, WGBH, Wellesley College, and Children’s Hospital Boston — as well as many locally notable organizations. Her award-winning grant proposals have secured funds for initiatives ranging from children’s television programming to computer-based medical training.

Prior to launching her consulting practice, Teil was Director of Development at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston. She has served on the boards of Boston Creative Music Alliance and ArtSpace, Inc., and assisted numerous community-based organizations as a volunteer advisor.
