Barbara Gunderson Stowe

Professional Experience

With 30 years of experience in four major research university and health care organizations, Barbara Gunderson Stowe is a natural fit with Marts & Lundy.

Barbara recently stepped down as vice president of resource development at MIT, an institution where she worked for 25 years. Her previous experience includes stints at New England Medical Center, The University of Minnesota, and Abbott-Northwestern Hospital, Inc.

At MIT, Barbara directed a comprehensive program of private financial support including oversight of a successful $2 billion capital campaign. She led a staff of 150 involved in corporate, foundation and individual giving from U.S. and international sources.

Barbara is a member of the board of the World Peace Foundation and Management Sciences for Health.
