Professional Experience

Robert Weiner is an independent consultant specializing in helping fundraisers make informed, strategic decisions about information technology. He has consulted for a wide range of non-profits including colleges and universities, and environmental and arts organizations.  Typical projects include assessing advancement services departments; developing strategic plans for technology; and selecting software for donor databases, CRM systems, Association management systems, email marketing, and online giving tools.

He is the host of TechSoup's Technology for Fundraising online forum, and has presented workshops for organizations including CASE, AFP, APRA, and CompassPoint Nonprofit Services, to mention just a few. He served on the editorial board of E-Philanthropy Review, and has been contributed to a variety of publications including CASE Currents, AFP's eWire, the Nonprofit Quarterly, and E-Philanthropy Review. He has served on the Advisory Board for AFP's Fundraising Effectiveness Project and was a faculty member for the CASE Annual Conference for Senior Advancement Services Professionals from 2003 through 2006.
